[33:9]  1 tn That is, “all the earth” in the first line of v. 8. The apparent antecedent of the masculine subject of the verbs in v. 9 (note וַיֶּהִי [vayyehiy] and וַיַּעֲמֹד [vayyaamod]) is “earth” or “world,” both of which are feminine nouns. However, כָּל (kol, “all”) may be the antecedent, or the apparent lack of agreement may be explained by the collective nature of the nouns involved here (see GKC 463 §145.e).

[33:9]  2 tn Heb “he commanded.”

[35:9]  3 tn Heb “then my soul will rejoice in the Lord and be happy in his deliverance.”

[105:7]  4 tn Heb “in all the earth [are] his judgments.”

[105:19]  5 tn Heb “word,” probably referring to Joseph’s prediction about the fate of Pharaoh’s cupbearer and baker (see Gen 41:9-14).

[105:19]  6 tn This line may refer to Joseph’s prediction of the famine in response to Pharaoh’s dream. Joseph emphasized to Pharaoh that the interpretation of the dream came from God (see Gen 41:16, 25, 28, 32, 39).

[105:19]  7 tn Heb “refined him.”

[105:34]  8 tn Heb “he spoke and locusts came.”

[106:25]  9 sn They grumbled in their tents. See Deut 1:27.

[106:25]  10 tn Heb “did not listen to the voice of.”

[107:25]  11 tn Heb “he spoke and caused to stand a stormy wind.”

[107:25]  12 tn Heb “and it stirred up its [i.e., the sea’s, see v. 23] waves.”

[116:13]  13 tn Heb “a cup of deliverance I will lift up.” Perhaps this alludes to a drink offering the psalmist will present as he thanks the Lord for his deliverance. See v. 17.

[118:17]  14 tn Heb “the works of the Lord.”
